Quadpack releases recyclable PET bottle for liquid makeup

Global cosmetics packager Quadpack has launched a monomaterial PET liquid makeup bottle, aimed at masstige and niche makeup brands.

The Lola bottle is recyclable and features a click closure for sensory appeal. It comes in 6 mL and 6.5 mL sizes and is compatible with high-alkali formulas — like those with isododecane for long-lasting color.

The packaging solution is customizable, with the thick-wall solution available in various PCR content levels. The company offers different types of applicator sticks, depending on whether the formula is for the face or lips.

The company adds: “Brand designs can be applied using a host of decoration techniques, the most popular directly off the production line for accelerated lead times.”

“A key feature of the Lola bottle is decoration orientation. The designs on the cap and bottle can be aligned, expanding the creative canvas to the full pack length. With every use, the pack closes to line up the pattern.” 

The packaging solution can also be branded using full-cover hot foil stamping to suit the makeup company’s aesthetics and style. 

Lola is developed at Quadpacks’ Kierspe, Germany, factory. In July, Quadpack invested in new equipment to manufacture the dip-in bottles.

Push for circularity 

Personal care packaging suppliers are increasingly creating sustainable solutions for environmentally conscious consumers. 

Quadpack recently equipped Spanish online beauty start-up Idony Cosmetics with PET 4.5 mL Gala dip-in solutions for lip tint, bronzer, and blush.  

Meanwhile, TNT Group provided French skin care brand Darphin with two refillable glass containers for its Stimulskin Plus collection. Bormioli Luigi designed a refillable glass bottle and cap for a new perfume collection from the luxury brand Sporturno.
