Mondi has created a customized corrugated packaging solution for Turkish technology company Argesim Teknoloji’s sensor-based products, providing a 10% reduction in logistics and production costs.
The partnership focused on replacing Argesim Teknoloji’s standard Abox boxes and foam-filled packaging with “high-strength, tailored corrugated solutions” developed for sensors used in applications such as solar energy systems and grain silos.
Metin Morhayim, Sales and Marketing director at Mondi Corrugated Turkey, says: “This project demonstrates how tailor-made packaging can deliver tangible value beyond protection alone. By redesigning packaging around the customer’s exact needs, we achieved cost optimization, improved operational efficiency, and supported sustainability goals — all without additional investment.”
Enhancing operational efficiency
Mondi aims to eliminate shipment-related production damage and lower operational risks across the supply chain by improving box dimensions, strength, and ergonomics.
The redesigned packaging removed the need for foam materials and can be integrated into Argesim Teknoloji’s existing production and logistics processes, offering measurable cost savings without needing any additional investment.
The solution is said to feature improved protection and handling efficiency that could support reducing time losses and ensuring smoother deliveries.
Furkan Canbay, production engineer at Argesim Teknoloji, says: “Mondi’s collaborative approach and fast feedback throughout the process helped us implement a packaging solution that improved protection, simplified operations, and delivered clear cost benefits.”
Last year, Mondi unveiled its Ad/Vantage Smooth Brown Semi Extensible, a solution that can be applied to form-fill-and-seal packaging for sharp-edged or heavy items, such as spare parts and building materials.
Recently, Mondi also collaborated with Polish bicycle manufacturer Polana Bikes to co-develop a reusable, paper-based bicycle packaging system.
