Texen designs recyclable aluminum-effect mascara tube for Lancôme

Texen, a premium producer of personal care packaging, has equipped Lancôme with an aluminum-effect, easy-grip, and recyclable polypropylene mascara bottle for the cosmetic company’s Lash Idôle Curl Goddess.
The packaging is custom-made for easy-to-grip sensoriality, featuring curves and a striated cinched center. It consists of an injection-moulded cap and a blow-moulded bottle.
“The project involved complex technical processes and decoration techniques especially developed in collaboration with the L’Oréal brand, to deliver a premium solution that is visually stunning,” says Texen.
Curl Goddess aims to boost lash curl and volume and includes a twisted mascara brush. Texen incorporated a brushed aluminum effect on the bottle, which is engraved with Lancôme's branding.
The bottle is rose gold, achieved through metallization. Texen’s mascara line automates assembly of the component parts for “optimized speed and efficiency.”
Recently, Packaging Insights spoke to Texen about its latest innovations at Paris Packaging Week 2026, which feature a pivot to PCR materials alongside bespoke packaging designs.
“Texen and Quadpack are interested in feedback on how visitors perceive the next steps for sustainable luxury packaging, especially regarding materials, design, decoration, and brand experience,” said Pierre-Antoine Henry, senior director of marketing for Innovation and Strategic Development.
Also at the tradeshow, Silgan Dispensing showcased the integration of its ERA dispensing caps and closures collection into its DNA airless pump range and debuted Aspire Chroma, a new collection of customizable plastic fragrance pumps.
