Wipak presents new monomaterial, retortable, heat-resistant pouch
08 Aug 2023 --- At Interpack 2023, Wipak showcased the company’s new pouches for wet pet food, baby foods and ready meals. The pouches, previously aluminum-based, are now monomaterial PP-based applications to preserve products in recyclable and reusable packaging in line with European legislation. We speak to Wipak’s regional managing director for South Europe, Marco Reggi, and the company’s sales director, Davide Zinzalini, about the pouch.
Wipak: Political courage needed to boost monomaterial transition
21 Apr 2022 --- Packaging innovators are being held back in their efforts to boost recycling rates for plastics by a lack of political courage, according to Stijn van de Wezemael, account manager for Benelux at Wipak. Live from trade show Empack 2022, in Gorinchem, Netherlands, Wipak presented a number of monomaterial solutions under its new GreenChoice brand. However, van de Wezemael says companies need more infrastructural help for these designs to realize their potential in reducing emissions and raising recycling rates.

Wipak: R&D solutions for reducing plastics in packaging

Wipak: Driving interactive packaging with invisible barcodes
04 Oct 2018 --- Wipak was launching its newest addition to the smart, connected packaging market: Digimac coding technology at FachPack 2018. The technology is said to enhance packaging in a new way, by integrating an invisible code into packaging design which makes more information available to the consumer, as well as being used within retail as “the barcode of the future,” according to Maik Dworczyk, Manager of the Creative team at Wipak.
