New look Jura bottle from Rockware
The new look bottle and packaging is monochrome for the classic 10 Year Old.
04/03/06 Whyte & Mackay has unveiled a sensational new look for its innovative Isle of Jura malt whisky in an embossed 70cl and 75cl bottle produced by Rockware Glass. It reinforces Whyte and Mackay’s confidence and energy as the company pledges a major investment and commitment to becoming a strong global player.
Isle of Jura has undergone a magical transformation that pares down and dramatises the beauty of island life. The new look bottle and packaging is monochrome for the classic 10 Year Old. The aged range features ever more luxurious packaging for the 16 year old, the 21 Year Old and the award-winning Superstition. Jura Legacy is exclusive to travel retail.
Rockware’s Design studio, which had earned awards in 2005 for its technical capability and flair to achieve visual impact on Isle Of Jura Superstition in 2005, has again demonstrated its expertise in the spirit container sector. Using existing moulds, they have added embossing to the front of the bottle and label protection to protect the embossing and the back label.
All the recognisable features of the unique bottle are retained with the neck made less tapered to accommodate a larger diameter cork and fitment. Authentic tin spun capsules are reintroduced and a distillery logo from the early days forms the basis of new Jura identity.
Jura is described as a gift from nature; pure spring water, clean fresh air and generations of tradition quietly crafting more delicate island malt.
