PackworldUSA, a manufacturer of precision heat sealing equipment, has showcased its PW3400 and PW3300 Series. The solutions were developed to support contract packagers to run high-mix, short-run programs while maintaining repeatable, validated seals for different materials and formats.
The two series include touch screens with on-screen diagnostics, easy calibration, and recipe storage, enabling operators to load proven settings by product, film, or customer to reduce training time, errors, and changeover downtime.
Interchangeable jaw bars are said to allow fast consumable replacement or sealing configuration changes. Standard seal bars of 16 or 24 inches (custom 12–30 inches) and seal widths of 2–12 mm support contract manufacturers running small pouches through large bags on one platform while matching seal geometry to customer specifications.

Next-gen packaging machinery
Packaging machinery manufacturers are redesigning equipment to help producers tackle rising sustainability requirements and increasingly complex production demands.
According to the company, the PW3400 and PW3300 can be used as tabletop units or mounted on an adjustable height and tilt stand with lockable casters. Close access to the sealing area reduces headspace, cutting material use, and enhancing product presentation.
Side-to-side film pass-through and quick-release seal bars are also said to enable flexible station design and rapid configuration changes.
The two series seal various films, including mono- and multi-layer materials: PE, PP, Tyvek, laminated foils, non-wovens, and fluoropolymer films such as fluorinated ethylene PP, perfluoroalkoxy alkanes, and polytetrafluoroethylene.
The company says its optional dual jaw heating and water cooling shorten cycle times, supporting higher throughput on time-sensitive projects.
