Par-Pak Europe Acquire Holfeld Plastics Limited
Park-Pak Europe (PPE) renowned for its bakery and confectionery packaging and a member of the USA based Waddington Group, has acquired Irish-based thermoformer Holfeld Plastics Limited.
Park-Pak Europe (PPE) renowned for its bakery and confectionery packaging and a member of the USA based Waddington Group, has acquired Irish-based thermoformer Holfeld Plastics Limited. Kevin Ingram, Managing Director of Par-Pak Europe and Holfeld Plastics said at the announcement ‘we believe that the acquisition of Holfeld Plastics enables the Waddington Group to continue its rapid expansion across a range of market sectors by adding the extensive and well established Holfeld meat, poultry, fish and fresh produce dimension to its portfolio.’
PPE based in Milton Keynes already has a broad bakery and confectionery portfolio as well as manufacturing packaging for the Dairy and Medical market sectors. The acquisition gives both manufacturers a strong command of key packaging market sectors.
Holfeld Plastics was founded in 1978 and has gained recognition as a significant manufacturer of thermoformed packaging in both Protein and Produce Sectors with a household name customer base comprising major multiples and leading food processors.
Ingram added: ‘We believe that this acquisition creates exciting opportunities for the continued development and expansion of both Holfeld Plastics and PPE. Our combined product range and merged technical resources enhancing our capacity to serve the needs of our existing and potential new market sectors.’
