Returnity is offering a free pilot program for B2B e-commerce shippers interested in its reusable packaging solutions. The limited-time offer aims to support shipping companies in adjusting to the rising corrugated and e-commerce packaging prices.
“Corrugated pricing volatility continues to create operational and financial pressure,” says Mike Newman, CEO at Returnity. “Reusable packaging is a straightforward solution for many of the shipping patterns that already exist within retailers’ day-to-day operations. Switching to Returnity’s cost-controlled reusables allows retailers to lock in savings, insulates them from pricing volatility, and gives them one fewer headache to worry about.”
Retunity says that companies that take advantage of the pilot within 30 days and move on to broader deployment within 60 days of the pilot’s completion will be eligible for preferred reusable box leasing terms.
The free pilot program is available for eligible B2B shippers “operating repeatable distribution and replenishment flows” in North America.
“Returnity has proven that reusable packaging is a valuable component of modern retail operations,” Newman adds. “Companies leverage our product and system expertise to cut costs and improve operational efficiency and supply chain consistency.”
Closed-loop shipping
Recently, Newman told Packaging Insights that Returnity supports retailers in leveraging physical stores for multichannel commerce while improving inventory accuracy, fulfillment flow, and operational efficiency.
Returnity’s reusable packaging systems for closed-loop B2B shipping operations, including reusable shipping workflows, were originally developed for FedEx B2B shipping environments.
According to the company, shippers participating in prior pilots and existing deployments reported operational improvements, including faster unpacking, reduced disposal labor, improved backroom organization, and lower product damage rates.
“Rather than positioning reusable packaging as a replacement for all corrugated shipments, Returnity focuses on the shipping lanes where reuse can operate practically within existing distribution systems and help reduce dependency on ongoing single-use box purchases over time,” the company states.
