TG-Group and Pick Place have begun a strategic integration to improve TG-Group by bringing together complementary expertise in packaging, robotics, and intelligent automation within one integrated ecosystem.
The Belgian industrial group is made up of specialized companies, including TG-Packaging, Entrec, Frematt, and A-tec, offering capabilities in packaging machinery, infeed technology, flowpack solutions, retrofit projects, and spare parts management and service.
Pick Place is a Swiss robotics company that brings expertise in high-speed delta robotics, vision systems, and AI-driven automation for food packaging and assembly lines. It aims to offer TG-Group a broader, end-to-end service from initial engineering and machine development to advanced robotics, line integration, and long-term maintenance.

“Pick Place becoming part of TG-Group marks an exciting new chapter for us,” says Tom Vermonden, founder and CEO at TG-Group. “By combining our strengths and shared vision, we can accelerate new developments, improve our service, and deliver greater results for our clients. Together, we aim to shape the direction of our industry with practical, forward-thinking solutions.”
Joint action
TG-Group says the move responds to manufacturers looking for partners who can help them improve efficiency, increase flexibility, reduce manual handling, and future-proof production environments.
In particular, Pick Place’s integration is said to supplement TG-Group’s engineering, production capacity, and customer network with Pick Place’s specialized robotics and automation expertise. They say that they can jointly deliver complete, tailored automation lines across various sectors, with a focus on the food industry.
Pick Place will keep its existing team, with Christian Vouilamoz and Denise Sivete remaining shareholders .
“For more than two decades, our team has helped manufacturers push the boundaries of robotics,” says Christian Vouilamoz, founder and chief robotics officer at Pick Place.
“Joining TG-Group gives us the industrial reach and engineering backing to move faster, take on larger projects, and bring our systems to more factories. Crucially, we keep the entrepreneurial drive that defines Pick Place, while gaining a stronger foundation to develop SmartPick.AI and new automation technologies.”
At Interpack 2026, industry experts, including Schubert and TNA Solutions, highlighted the importance of robotics development for efficiency in the packaging space.
